Accepting these terms

By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using the MyTransit Live mobile applications, website, or related services (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms for you.

A clearer view of public transport

MyTransit Live provides tools that may include nearby stops, scheduled and estimated departures, live vehicles, route and stop details, service alerts, saved preferences, maps, and journey planning. Coverage and features vary by city, transport agency, device, app version, and plan.

We may add, modify, limit, or remove features and supported regions. We aim to avoid unreasonable disruption, but we do not promise that every feature or data source will always remain available.

Transit data can change

Schedules, predictions, vehicle positions, routes, fares, accessibility details, and alerts may be supplied by transport agencies or other third parties. They can be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or changed without notice.

You are responsible for choosing a safe and lawful route, remaining aware of your surroundings, and following all applicable rules. Never interact with the app while driving or when doing so would be unsafe.

A personal license to use the app

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, as permitted by the applicable app store rules.

You must not:

• interfere with, overload, disrupt, probe, or bypass security or access controls;
• use automated means to scrape, harvest, or copy the Service or its data except where we expressly permit it;
• reverse engineer, modify, reproduce, resell, sublicense, or create derivative products from the Service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction;
• use the Service or transit information to build a competing database or commercial product;
• introduce malicious code, impersonate others, or use the Service for fraud or unlawful activity; or
• remove ownership, attribution, or legal notices.

Optional MyTransit Live Pro features

The Service may offer one-time in-app purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock premium features (“MyTransit Live Pro”). The exact product, included benefits, billing period, price, currency, free-trial or introductory terms, and renewal price are shown in the app’s purchase screen and the Apple App Store or Google Play confirmation flow before you buy. Those displayed terms are part of this agreement.

Billing and automatic renewal

Purchases are processed by the app store associated with your device. For an auto-renewing subscription, your store account is charged according to the billing period and price shown at purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless you cancel before the renewal deadline shown by your store. Taxes and currency conversion may apply.

Trials and offers

If a trial or introductory offer is available, eligibility and duration are shown before purchase. Unless you cancel before the trial or offer ends, the subscription converts to a paid plan at the disclosed price. Unused trial time may be lost when another subscription is purchased where store rules provide.

Manage or cancel

You can manage or cancel through the store account used to purchase. Cancellation stops future renewal; unless the store or applicable law says otherwise, access continues until the end of the paid billing period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

Refund eligibility and processing are governed by the applicable store’s rules and mandatory consumer law. Apple purchases can be reviewed through Apple; Google Play purchases can be reviewed through Google Play or, where its policy directs, by contacting us. We do not receive full payment-card information and cannot directly alter every store transaction.

Price and feature changes

We may change subscription prices or included features where permitted. Any price change will be disclosed and take effect under the store’s rules, including any notice or consent required by law. You can cancel before a new price applies.

Other services have their own terms

The Service may rely on or link to app stores, maps, place search, transit agencies, journey-planning services, websites, and other third-party content. We do not control those services, and their availability, terms, and privacy practices may apply separately. A link or integration does not mean we endorse every third-party statement, route, or service.

Apple and Google are not parties to these terms between you and MyTransit Live, but your use of the app must also comply with their applicable store terms. To the extent required by those terms, the relevant app-store provider may enforce the license provisions relating to its platform.

How information is handled

Our Privacy Policy explains how the Service processes location, journey, device, support, and purchase information. Please review it before using the Service.

Rights and attribution

The Service’s software, visual design, branding, and original content are owned by MyTransit Live or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Transit, mapping, agency marks, and third-party content remain the property of their respective owners. No rights are granted except the limited license stated in these terms.

If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, but you retain ownership of any rights you already hold in your feedback.

Changes, suspension, and termination

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to maintain security, comply with law, protect the Service or others, address misuse, or discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Ending use or deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active store subscription; cancel it through the applicable store.

Provisions that by their nature should continue—such as ownership, payment obligations already incurred, disclaimers, liability limits, and general legal terms—survive termination.

Reasonable limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyTransit Live and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, missed transport, delay, fare or alternative-travel costs, or personal injury arising from reliance on transit information, except where liability cannot legally be limited.

Where liability can lawfully be capped, our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to MyTransit Live through the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$50. This cap does not apply where prohibited by law.

The rest of the agreement

Applicable law governs these terms without overriding mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Before filing a formal claim, you and MyTransit Live agree to make a reasonable effort to resolve the issue informally, unless applicable law gives you the right to proceed directly.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer these terms as part of operating, financing, reorganizing, or transferring the Service.

We may update these terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised version and effective date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms, subject to applicable law.
